Adeniums are arid land plants native to sub-Saharan Africa and although there are several species, Adenium obesum is the one that’s frequently grown as an ornamental. It is an evergreen or drought-deciduous succulent shrub (which can also lose its leaves during cold spells, or according to the subspecies or cultivar). It can grow to 1–3 m (3.3–9.8 ft) in height, with pachycaul stems and a stout, swollen basal caudex. The leaves are spirally arranged, clustered toward the tips of the shoots, simple entire, leathery in texture, 5–15 cm (2.0–5.9 in) long and 1–8 cm (0.39–3.15 in) broad. The flowers are tubular, 2–5 cm (0.79–1.97 in) long, with the outer portion 4–6 cm (1.6–2.4 in) diameter with five petals, resembling those of other related genera such as Plumeria and Nerium. It comes up with multi-color flowers on the same pot, which makes it more beautiful.

How to take care of your Adenium plants
Water Requirements for Adenium plant
Soil moisture is an important consideration in adenium culture. Their common name, Desert Rose, speaks to their ability to thrive with less water. Adeniums can tolerate higher moisture levels without harming the plant, as long as the temperatures are warm. As a general rule, be sure to let the soil dry out in between watering sand then thoroughly saturate the potting mix.
A good rule to remember when growing adeniums is that high temperatures and full sun require more water and in cooler temperatures, the plants need less water.
Need Fertilizer
During the growing season, it is a good idea to provide a light feeding of a slow-release fertilizer, or a water-soluble liquid fertilizer from time-to-time. In the springtime when the plant is rousing from its winter rest, you can give a diluted feeding once every couple of weeks. During summer, reduce this to once a month. As the weather cools, stop feeding so that the plant can wind down for the winter.
Temperatures
Because they can tolerate dry conditions, adeniums are well suited for the home environment being able to tolerate quite a bit of neglect. Keep temperatures high, preferably above 60˙F, although they can take it a bit cooler if grown very dry. Really the hotter, the better, so a 70˙F or higher air temperature is best.
Light :
In their native habitat, adeniums grow in full sun so they need good light to thrive. Direct sunlight is preferable, especially when they are in their active growth phase during the summer months.

How To Sow Adenium Plant Seeds
To plant seeds, start with a growing medium of
CASA DE AMOR ORGANIC ADENIUM POTTING SOIL. Use a shallow pot or a tray placed in an area with bright indirect light. You may want to use a warming pad to keep the growing medium at a steady temperature of 25 to 35°C.
Evenly sprinkle the seeds over the surface of the growing medium and cover them very lightly with a thin layer of sand. Use a spray bottle to saturate the growing medium evenly with water. Repeat this process on alternate days until the seeds sprout.
What Kind of Container Is Best for Adenium Plants?
Many lovers of Adenium grow their plants or look to repotting the Adenium into terra cotta clay pots instead of plastic to keep them on the dry side.
For better air circulation to the roots, a porous container material is better than a nonporous material. For this reason, many experts recommend using terra-cotta containers instead of plastic ones, plus the shallow terra-cotta bowl makes a nice presentation. Well made wooden planters might also be a good idea.
Adenium plant Pests and Problems
The most pervasive problem for Adenium plant is root rot. The importance of avoiding over watering cannot be overstated. These plants retain water in their thick roots. They do not need or want to stand in water, so it is far better to err on the side of under watering when it comes to watering. Remember to water sparingly and make sure your plant’s drainage system is working properly.
Pruning: Is Regular Pruning Necessary?
During the growing season, pinch back or prune unruly growth. Before bringing the plant indoors for winter, prune back excessive growth as this will make the rest period more effective for the plant. Additionally, it will be easier to keep a smaller, more compact plant indoors during the winter months.
Before putting the plant back outdoors for the growing season, a good trimming is a smart idea. Trim off any dead or damaged vegetation. Cut back straggly branches to improve the plant’s shape. You can use these branches as cuttings to create new plants.

What are Succulents?

How to Grow Succulents Indoors

If you’re choosing succulents for the first time, follow these steps for successful care of your new plants.
Place the potted succulent in a sunny location.
Most succulents prefer at least 6 hours of sun per day, so try to place them near a south- or east-facing window. You may notice your succulents becoming spindly or stretching toward the light if they don’t get enough sun.
Fertilize your succulents at least once a year.
The plants benefit most from fertilizer in the spring (when the days get longer and new growth begins), and again in late summer. Use a balanced, all-purpose, water-soluble fertilizer (such as 8-8-8 or 10-10-10) diluted to half the strength recommended on the package instructions. There is no need to fertilize succulents in winter when they’re semi-dormant., They don’t need the nutrient boost because they are not actively growing.
How to Plant Succulents
Step 1: Fill a bowl of Casa De Amor potting Soil. It is a special soil for succulents.
Step 2: Add a focal point as a centerpiece. This is usually the largest or most colorful plant. Remove the plant from its nursery pot by turning it upside down in your hand, pulling off the pot, then setting the plant into the center of the bowl. If the plant has sharp edges, as agave does, for example, wear gloves.
Step 3: Plant the edges of the bowl. Use a mix of succulents for texture and color. Don’t worry about planting too close. You want them to have a lush, crowded look, and they tolerate being close together.
Step 4: Fill in any gaps with soil mix, tamping lightly. Finish off with a topper of gravel, aquarium stone, or some other ornamental material.
Step 5: Water. Use a watering can with a narrow spout so you can direct the stream into the soil rather than on foliage. The root systems of succulents are very good at providing moisture for the plants, so be careful not to over water.

Foliar Application: Cold-pressed oil is a concentrated form of neem oil it needs to be diluted with water before using on plants. Add 5 ml of neem oil into 1 liter of water stir well till get emulsion form.
