In this video, I’m setting up my first outdoor breeding tanks for livebearers at the abandoned fish farm I’m rebuilding.
These are old concrete tanks, about 30 gallons each, and I’m turning them into functional grow out tanks for Guppies, Mollies, Platys, and Swordtails.
You’ll see the process of draining old tanks, catching leftover fish, removing overgrown plants and adding foxtail to make the tanks more natural and stable. I’ve got 27 tanks in total in this small area of the farm, and this is just the beginning!
If you enjoy DIY fish room projects, fish farming, or breeding tropical fish, subscribe to follow along as I bring this place back to life, one tank at a time.
Fish featured in this video:
Guppies, Mollies, Platys, Swordtails (Livebearers)
Also spotted: Java moss, foxtail plants, damselfly nymphs
